As a natural outgrowth of film fest, this year SLFF is adding Music Fest. Employing venues around the East Side, Music Fest will celebrate the best of independent music. Highlights include: opening night with Eleni Mandell and the Haden Triplets performing together for the first time; the CD release party for local cabaret-rockers Butcher Holler; premieres of films from local bands, the Centimeters and the Beards; and a special evening honoring Flea and his Silver Lake Conservatory of Music with the first-ever Spirit of Silver Lake Music Award on the closing night.
