A Multi-Arts, Multi-Cultural Festival
Now firmly established as a major annual cultural event in Los Angeles, the 2002 Silver Lake Film Festival, Sept. 12-21, is a ten-day film festival comprised of features, documentaries and short films as well as related arts events. Films screened during the festival come from Silver Lake, greater Los Angeles, throughout the U.S. and from around the world. The selection of film programming emphasizes the cultural and creative diversity of Silver Lake and its neighboring communities.

In our continuing quest to break down the boundaries between film and music, this year's festival presents the debut of Music Fest, a showcase of some of the best independent musical artists. Check the website for a complete listing.

Fringe Fest, the experimental arm of the festival, really mixes it up. Motion picture collides with visual arts, live performance and audience participation during a week-plus days designed to expand your aesthetic boundaries.

More than a hundred film and video screenings, dozens of live music and arts events, and, in keeping with our hallowed tradition, at least one wild party every night. Welcome to SLFF '02.
